RESEARCH
Our lab aims to develop innovative nanotechnologies and make RNA drug and cell therapies more effective and practical in treating diseases.
1. RNA therapy
We focus on addressing current challenges facing RNA vaccine and mRNA therapeutics by developing new lipid nanoparticle platforms and RNA engineering technologies. These techniques allow for successful delivery of RNA drugs to hard-to-reach organs, tissues and cells. We provide novel and robust therapeutic opportunities for cancer, infectious diseases and genetic disorders.
2. Cell therapy
Our lab is developing strategies (nanomedicine, biomaterials) to manipulate immune cells to fight cancer. We aim to fuse immunology with nanotechnology and biotechnology to create new therapies and boost immunity. Our primary research interests include in vivo CAR engineering and T cell engagers.
3. AI For Drug Development
We are applying cutting edge AI-driven algorithms and advanced imaging techniques to facilitate RNA and protein drug development. We aim to optimize the sequence and structures to amplify their biological functions (RNA vaccines, therapeutic proteins)
